Prevalence of ringworm or dermatophytosis, A retrospective study of age-related infections among patients attending Halibet national referral hospital, dermatological clinic from 2014 - 2018 in Asmara, Eritrea

Background: Globally skin diseases are major health problem. These caused by different types of Tinea infections that include: barbae, capitis, corporis, cruris, faciei, manuum, pedis and unguium. The prevalence the ranges from 25% to 45.3%; worldwide rate fungal is within range 20 - 25 % globally (WHO, 2005). This wide variation disease pattern among countries because type, occupation, age, sex, level immunity culture. Objective: aim study was identify which age groups more susceptible (Ringworm) patients who attended Halibet National Referral Hospital, Dermatologic Clinic 2014 2018 Asmara, Eritrea. Methods: A five year retrospective record review done group for superficial its determinants in outpatients dermatologic at Eritrea 2018. data analyzed using SPSS version 22.
